Submachine 7: The Core

Submachine, the puzzle and adventure game series by the fabulous Mateusz Skutnik, is back with Submachine 7 - The Core. As in the games before, you can dive into the creepy atmosphere and the mysterious stories to find out what happens next. It is no wonder that Submachine lovers always look forward to the next part and would even sleep on Mateusz Skutnik’s doorstep just to be the first to play the continuation.

The mouse is all you need here. Just interact with your environment and collect items which are stored in your inventory (right-hand side). By clicking on an item once you can pick it up and use it by clicking again. It is important to check your environment several times, particularly after making progress to see every tiny little item or change.

Your progress is saved automatically by the way. So just have a break if necessary. It is most likely that you will need it as this game is very, very tricky sometimes.

Analysis

Fans go wild as soon as there is a new part to Submachine. No wonder, Submachine is among the best games in the puzzle adventure game genre. Submachine 7 turns out to be as fascinating and mysterious as the previous parts. However, it is also demanding but if you liked the previous parts you will certainly love this too.

Mateusz' creative story offers room for speculation because of the rather short story full of clues and paper notes and you will love the game even if you are not in the mood for searching but simply like to enjoy excellent graphics.

However, as already mentioned above, Submachine 7 is no easy game. You will probably have to spend a lot of time sometimes to find the right direction or the last missing item to go further in the game. Just keep your eyes wide open and check each corner several times to make sure that you have not missed anything.

In the beginning it might be thought that the game is not very extensive but you will learn otherwise very soon provided you can activate all areas. Apart from placing items correctly, the game also contains some tricky puzzles which can be very demanding as is typical of the Submachine series. In my opinion, the best strategy is to explore everything thoroughly.

Contrary to most other games, even a little progress seems to be an excellent performance in The Core and you can be absolutely proud of yourself as soon as you have mastered the whole game.
